Ohio Technical Services completed lead abatement and asbestos abatement activities at the Battered Women’s Shelter in Mount Vernon Ohio. Since the Shelter was recognized as a historical structure, the activities completed by OTS were done in such a manner that the historical integrity of the building was maintained. Lead abatement activities required that the porch decking and the gazebo support posts be replaced. In addition, all the wooden surfaces were encapsulated and painted. Asbestos abatement activities included the removal of materials from the basement of the facility.
